Terms and Conditions and Agreement
Calls are online unless otherwise arranged with the client. Decluttering is done by the client unless otherwise specified. Clients are aware that the business is online and in the online sessions, the business points out the areas and items to declutter in each room and space. For in-person decluttering of offices based on special requests, discussions with the client will take place before any booking or payment. It is noted that heavy lifting or cleaning is not included in the in-person decluttering of offices or homes, should the business engage in these following discussions.
The estimated time for the sessions is determined as the appropriate time to complete the sessions, and the business and clients would engage the session to have it done within that time frame. It is noted that one free 10-minute follow-up sessions is currently offered.
Clients should be mindful when decluttering whether they wish to get rid of an item or not. It is recommended that clients set the item aside if undecided and return to it.
Clients are responsible for final decisions regarding items, and the project’s pace depends on the client’s decision-making ability. Clients are reminded to work at their own pace.
Clients are to understand that if they get rid of items, they cannot retrieve them. It is noted that part of the process is “getting rid of the old to make room for the new”. An example of this would be clients decluttering items from a past relationship, disconnecting from that, to make room for what may be next for the client, bearing in mind the business may not know its significance and bearing in mind the definition of decluttering.
Though a physical, mental and emotional process, clients can make decluttering fun.
Home calls: It is recommended and expected that clients will schedule their first call, have the session and then subsequently schedule the second, third and fourth call, as the calls focus on decluttering different areas of the home, which can take time.
Payments are made prior to the sessions. Payments are made mainly on the website via bank transfer.
Clients are allowed one free 10-minute follow-up sessions after their paid session or package. Follow-up calls can be scheduled later with the business.
There are no refunds if the online calls are already completed. However, refunds for home calls are as follows: 40% refund if the client wishes to cancel the second home call after completing the first home call.
Calls can be cancelled or rescheduled prior to the session with the client receiving a full refund. However, after the session there are no refunds. Calls must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the booked session, except in cases of specific emergencies.
The client must be present during sessions. The client should try to minimise disruptions, such as children or pets being present during sessions. All calls are private and confidential, including the information shared.
Clients will be informed if “before and after” photos will be taken for motivational purposes or for documenting the project. Clients can share their “before and after” photos with the business.
For in-person decluttering, in special cases, no items will be discarded or disposed of without the client’s permission. However, it is noted that the clients will be present during the sessions and working with the business. Clients will be mainly doing the decluttering for the in-person session and will be guided by the business.
The business is not liable for items damaged or lost by third parties during the disposal process.
Given that the client will be doing the decluttering online and in-person, the business is not liable for losses or damage to client’s property, and that the client should maintain their own insurance. Declutterly Services is not liable for damage or losses that occur due to issues with their property (e.g., unsafe access).
The business has the right to modify the terms and conditions and the process of informing clients of any changes.
The business, though online, is registered and based in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.
