Energy of a space
While I am a personal and frequent user of the word ‘energy’, I can say that when letting go of things we let go of the energy associated with them, especially when those things no longer serve us. When personally doing a physical declutter of my bedroom, home or office, as well as decluttering my digital devices and social media platforms, I have released so much energy of things no longer serving me, and of my past. This, to me, makes room for the new; we may not be sure what that is exactly, but it creates the space to welcome new things, things that we can and should believe will positively serve us.
I am no stranger to the word ‘decluttering’; growing up, I often cleaned my room, as I am sure we all did and continue to do at some point. Decluttering impacts our thoughts, emotions, feelings and life—and, by extension, the space we declutter whether it be a home, office or bedroom. I can say from personally decluttering my space that I have felt better.
If you are familiar with the concept of the “Wheel of Life”, you will know there are various areas of our life which we rate and seek to balance and raise our satisfaction with, including our health, career, relationship, finances, etc. finances all of which we have to be mindful of and consider when decluttering our home and office.
What are your thoughts? Do you believe this?
We spend a lot of time at home, some in one home, many in new ones, depending on where we are at in our lives: single, married, living with family, living with a roommate or friend, living on campus, etc. But one thing is for certain: we call a place “home”, and by extension, we call a place “work”. So let’s declutter our space. Let’s declutter our home and office.
